Annual Meetings - Nairobi 2026
The 2026 Annual Meetings of the Association of African Central Banks (AACB) will be hosted by the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) from September 13th – 18th, 2026, at the Central Bank of Kenya - Institute of Monetary Studies (CBK-IMS) in Nairobi, Kenya. The annual meetings will be hosted alongside the CBK@60 celebrations, and the AI Conference.

Accommodation: Participants are advised to make accommodation reservations at their preferred hotels. Participants will be in charge of their accommodation costs. The CBK has negotiated special rates within 13km radius of the CBK-IMS.
Arrivals and Transfer Information: A team from the CBK will be available to receive arriving delegates and support ease of transit. In this regard, participants are requested to communicate travel itineraries in the registration form to facilitate transfer logistics. The CBK will provide airport transfers from the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi to and from the designated hotels. Transport will also be availed to delegates from the designated hotels to the CBK-IMS each morning, and back each evening during the week of the 2026 AACB Annual Meetings.

Delegates who opt to stay elsewhere will have to arrange for their own transport to and from the meeting venue daily.
Weather: Kenya’s climate varies across the country, from the tropical humidity of the coast, the dry heat of the savannah, or semi-arid areas and the cool air of the highlands. Temperatures in these areas are constant all year round with an average of 27°C (80°F) at the coast, 21°C to 27°C (70°F to 80°F) in the hinterland. Nairobi lies between 1,500m and 1,700m above sea level, and has a mostly temperate climate in the month of September. The daytime temperatures normally range between 15°( and 27°( (60°F to 80°F).
